Sea views over Skälderviken

In the small village of Svanshall, in Skälderviken bay (south of Sweden), you’ll find more than just an active fishing harbour, historic wooden boats, a lighthouse, and a guest marina. It’s also home to Villa Svanshall by Claesson Koivisto Rune. Out of respect for its surroundings, the house is understated on the outside, with its low height and dark slate exterior. Inside, however, it reveals a meticulously designed interior with carefully selected details – from light switches to Kolmården marble used throughout the house.

As far as possible, the choices have been made with Swedish fair production and sustainable construction in mind. This is also reflected in the interior design. Beneath the generous dining table lies the indoor/outdoor rug FLORENS 1300, made from 100% recycled PET.

In the living room, the wonderfully thick MONTE CARLO 1850 rug contributes to creating a space with warmth, beautiful design, and excellent sound absorption. Beneath the bed, the lustrous LONG BEACH 6110 beautifully contrasts with the Kolmården marble.
